I have not received my activation email, what now?
It can sometimes take a couple of minutes for our email to arrive, make sure you've waited atleast 15 minutes.
If the email still has not been received you can try to recover your login details by using the username/password recovery page.
My usenet connection seems slower then the listed speed ?
The speeds we list are maximum possible speeds, not guarenteed speeds. Because of the many different factors involved with bandwidth we cannot guarantee you will always be able to get the maximum speed.
Free users are part of a user-pool with a limited maximum bandwidth and connections for this group (meaning network usage from other users could affect your own speed), premium users on the other hand do not suffer the same restrictions.
This also being the reason why we have 2 separate reader urls.
I lost my username / password, how can I recover this

I can't login, I'm getting an error, what do I do?
When you suddenly can no longer log in, it is often the case that you're using the wrong reader url.
This can occur when your account up or downgrades (from free to premium or vice versa), please review the reader address-list below.

It can also occur that your connection to our service is slow/unresponsive at 'peak times' (around 8 o clock at night and on weekends) , in particular free accounts might suffer from this issue, this due to high bandwidth usage on the network.
This problem automatically disappears after a short period.
Should you get an error that implies an incorrect password, you can try resetting it on the password recovery page.
How do I close my account with XS Usenet?
If you would like to close your account , you can login to Client Panel. Here you can cancel your subscription.
Please keep in mind, if you have a running payment profile with paypal, you have to close that manually on http://www.paypal.com.
Is there a bandwidth/usage limit?
Free users are limited to 25 GB per month and Premium users have a 'fair use policy'.
Fair use implies that we expect a user to keep his bandwidth usage in line with the average usage. Heavy users risk temporary suspension of service.
